Finally we get the chance to join in the fun of Sundays in my City after we have had the chance to go and explore the city. We spent the morning looking for Mali statues - life sized baby elephants that are on display to celebrate the 150th birthday of the Melbourne Zoo. There is
a post here about the 16 elephants we found yesterday. Along the way we found some of Melbourne's amazing sculptures to share.
And this is my very favourite sculpture... The cow in the tree
And just because we had so much fun finding Mali's yesterday, here are a few more Mali pics.

It is days like this that remind me of just how much I love Melbourne.
Love it! I love cities that embrace art!
ReplyDeleteThe lips and the upside down cow in the tree crack me up.
ReplyDeleteThankfully you TOLD me it was a cow, because my eyes and brain were still busily trying to decipher what in the WORLD that was!
It looks a little more cow-like from another angle, but I was feeling lazy and didn't want to walk any further!
DeleteWhat fun! Love these statues, they are so creative and colorful. It took me a second to realize that was a cow in the tree... funny.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love the 2nd one.
ReplyDeletesuch a cultural city....nice shots
ReplyDeleteI love Melbourne, based on these photos alone. Thanks for such a fun post!

ReplyDeleteWow! What awesome sculptures! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteThese are all fantastic. I love the lips and the winged insect.
ReplyDeleteSo much to see round the city of Melbourne, the photos are really great. The cow is the only one we have seen. I'm sure AJ will love seeing them all next time. xx
