Snip, Snip, Snip

In all the excitement of turning 3, I forgot to tell everyone that I had my hair cut. Now I know that you are all thinking, "What's the big deal?" Well it is a really, really big deal - it was my first ever haircut! My friend Shino cut my hair, don't you think she did a wonderful job?

I wonder if I have to wait another 3 years to get my hair cut again?

My Dinosaurs

I have my very own dinosaurs - Stegosaurus, Brontosaurus and of course, T-Rex. I made them from clay at kinder last week and some of my friends helped me to paint them today.

They are the coolest things ever made at kinder.

Maybe next week I will make some more animals from clay.

Making Orange Juice.

Do you know how to make orange juice? We thought we knew how to make orange juice, that was until we went to The ClubHouse today. We found that if you can plug an electric juicer into a bike that doesn't go anywhere, you can make orange juice! Crazy - and here we were thinking that you went to the supermarket to get orange juice!

I wish we had discovered The ClubHouse sooner. It is a big blobby orange tent in at Southgate, that has lots of cool things for kids to do as part of the Arts Festival. As well as learning how to make orange juice, we sang songs and did hula hoops too.

We love Melbourne, it has the coolest festivals.

Happy Birthday to Me?

Today it was my birthday again. It wasn't really my birthday, it was my birthday party day. I sent invitations to all of my friends, and hundreds of people came to my party. Naturally I had a dance party. My favourite dancer Bianca (and her friend Kate and her little sister Chloe) came to teach my friends how to to do ballet.

Everyone had so much fun at my dance party. Well almost everyone - I wasn't feeling well and I didn't have the energy to dance, so I watched everyone else have fun.

Even though my smile was broken, I was a little bit happy on the inside, and I am glad that everyone had a great time at my dance party. Hopefully I will feel better soon and have the energy to open all of my amazing presents.

Do you know how to have a happy birthday?

1. Start the night before by painting your fingernails and your toenails too.
2. Wake up early and open presents.
3. Open even more presents.
4. Wait to blow out the candles as everyone to sings 'Happy Birthday' to you.
5. Dance naked with your boyfriend (and your brother if he is still hanging around).
6. Finish the night with a game of invisible poker.

Find time during the day to eat lots of yummy food, go to another birthday party and have a hot tub too. If you can manage all of that, you will have a great birthday, just like I did!

I like being a birthday girl.

Almost a Big Kid

It is only one more sleep until I am a big kid. That's right, tomorrow I will be 3. Soon I will be able to go to ballet, ride a big kid bike and I will even be allowed to play with all the toys that have '3+' written on the box!

I am so excited.

Feeding the Ducks

When Grandma came to visit on Monday, we went for a picnic in Queens Park. There was too much exploring to do, so we didn't eat all of our lunch. We said that we weren't hungry; we were too busy to eat.

It wasn't really the truth, we just wanted to feed our lunch to the ducks!

Ship Building

What did you do today?
I had a pretty quiet day today.
All I did was build a ship with my friend Darcy.

They were really big ships with huge sails.

All we need now is somewhere to sail the ships... I wonder if my ship will fit in the bath?

HOORAY

3 modems, many hours and lots of tantrums later - we are finally back online!

We have added in stories about our adventures that we couldn't blog about when we were in the dark.

We love the real world,

Fun at the Zoo
Finally I have found big kids to play with at the zoo - my kinder friend Darcy and Gabby too. There were lots of little kids there too, to play with Milla - Amelia, Zac and Yvonne (that's Darcy's little sister).

It has been so long since I have been to the zoo - almost 2 months, that we had heaps of exploring to do. As usual, we played in the playground, watched the seals being fed and then explored the rainforest and jungle areas to see the tigers, elephants and butterflies.

We had so much fun exploring all of the animals, but my favourite part was just playing on the grass with the other kids.

Gathering of the Clan

On the weekend, we went on a camping holiday in tungamah with hundreds of our cousins. We all camped in tents on the banks of the Boosey Creek.

Our tent was almost as big as a castle; there was a room for the kids, a room for the adults, a room to play in and another room that we didn't know what to use it for except for dancing. I love our tent. I even like sleeping in a sleeping bag.

AJ has decided that if he can't live in America, he wants to live in Tungamah. He likes Tungamah because he can go fishing in the Boosey Creek, learn to paddle a canoe, sit by a camp fire, visit Deanne's 'farm' and feed roses to the alpacas and milk to Lisa the cow and play with hundreds of kids who are all related to us.

Even dad had fun at the creek when he learnt how to drive a boat! (But I don't think he wants to live in Tungamah.)

I hope that we can go camping again some time really soon,

The Olden Days

I think we know what it is like to live in the olden days… for 2 weeks now our modem has been on the blink, and we haven’t been able to connect with the rest of the world. It is really strange. All of a sudden, we have more time for sleep, instead of surfing and blogging.

I miss the net, please come back soon.

Kindergarten or Kinder in the Garden?

The school holidays are over and it is time to go back to kinder - HOORAY! Not only do I get to see all of my friends again, but we get to go on an excursion.

Today we all went on a really big bus to the Children's Gardens. It was so much fun. The people there told us all about the mini beasts that live in our gardens. Don't be scared though, mini-beasts aren't dangerous, they are helpful and interesting. We even had time to try and catch some mini-beasts. Liam and I caught 5 tadpoles in our net (I wish someone had a photo of them all).

We even went exploring in a garden where you could eat all of the plants. I didn't want to eat them, they were a bit smelly. Instead we made potpouri with the smelly plants.

I love the Children's Gardens, I hope we can come here again.
