Fun in the Park

Well this weekend has been all about what AJ wants to do because it is his birthday, but don't worry I have had plenty of time to do things that I love too.  This afternoon we went to the park for a little fun.

Another Birthday Celebration

My birthday is over, but still I get to celebrate today with more cake and more presents!
Nanny and Poppy came to visit and gave me heaps of presents

The first present they gave me was actually from Nanny Bette and Uncle Pin.

I asked Nanny for $100, so she gave me a really cool $100 note money box.

I got the Hungry Hippos game too.  Nanny said something about 'payback' but I don't really know why.

Shhh, don't tell Nanny and Pop or mum and dad, but Sharn and Dave gave me the best present ever - Sonic Unleashed for the Wii.

Mum forgot to take photos of me opening my other presents - a skateboard from my cousins who came over to party with me and also Japanese Nanoblocks (mini lego-like blocks) from Ellen.

It is a shame that I have to wait another year for another birthday, I have had a great time!

Seven

Seven is a great number, it is my favourite number, do you know why?  I love the number seven because that is how old I am, today is my birthday!

I had a great day, here are some of the photos from my favourite parts.

Since it was my birthday, I got to choose what we would have for breakfast.  I think that mum and dad thought that I would want croissants like I normally do, but my favourite breakfast food is now bacon so we had bacon for breakfast.  As I was waiting for the bacon to cook, I opened my presents.  Can you believe that I got Lego Batman on the Wii and a set of really real golf clubs - totally awesome.

I was planning on helping mum make my birthday cakes, but I couldn't possibly bake cakes when there was Lego Batman Wii to play.  Eventually the cakes were cooked and the house was really really hot.  We spent the afternoon at the pool to cool down and then went out for dinner.

Finally it was time for cake.  The cake was delicious, but there was so much that I shared it with my neighbours.  Mum cooked me an extra cake so that I could have another birthday
tomorrow.

It should be fun.

Hot, Hotter, Hottest

Well apparently we are in the heat wave of a century.  I don't really know what a century is, but I know that it is really, really hot.

It is so hot that the chocolate chips that are in the cupboard to make AJ's birthday cake have all melted and we haven't even started cooking.

It is so hot that the floating candles in the bowl on the table melted!

It is so hot that the only place to sleep comfortably is in mum and dad's study on the sofa bed, right under the air conditioner.

I hope that where ever you are, you aren't melting.

Advance Australia Fair

What did you do to celebrate Australia Day?

I went to Windy Hill to see the Bombers at their first training session for 2009.  All of my favourite players were there, it was fantastic.  I got lots of autographs, but the best part of the day was when my friend 'Little Jimmy' (James) and his mum were on the field singing the national anthem with the players.

Check it out!

Seeing the Bombers sure was a great way to celebrate Australia Day.  Sure we had heaps of people come over to our house for a barbeque in the afternoon, but did you see the Bombers?

Look Who Lives In Harbour Town

I think that one day it would be heaps of fun to live somewhere like Harbour Town.

There are great places to explore, lots of shops, billions of people to meet and entertainment everywhere to keep us busy all of the time.

Of course there is also the Southern Star too.

Look who else lives in Harbour Town...
We saw this Tawny Frogmouth resting on top of a sign in the shopping area.

Isn't he fantastic!

Gladiators, Are You Ready?

On the way home from Bunnings, we stopped at a playground that we have wanted to visit for ages.  It was awesome, there was a ginormous web pyramid to climb.

We played Gladiators, Dad was the Challenger and we were the Gladiators.  Milla was Angel and I was Thunder.

Of course the Gladiators won and we caught Dad easily!

Mountain Bike Riding

It seems like a million years ago that I was at the bike park watching AJ ride all around the track.  Well today it was my turn to have a ride there and it was fantastic!

It took me a while to get the hang of pedaling hard to get over the giant hills, but eventually I made it.

Hooray!

Famous People

Hey, look who we found when we played Google today...

You have to read through the article a bit, but it has his name in it and if you watch the movie you can see him too.

Isn't it strange funny when you know famous people!

Meme About Us

Mum seems to be making friends with people from all over the world because she helps us to write this blog.  One of her friends, Lea from Whites in New Zealand sent us this blog meme to find out more about us.  Now because we blog about everything that we do (and all the things that we have ever done), most people are sure to know this stuff.  We will try really hard to think of new stuff to tell you.  Here goes...

The rules of the meme are

1. Link to the person who tagged you
2. Post the rules
3. Share seven random or weird facts about yourself
4. Tag 7 random people at the end of the post with their links
5. Let each person know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

So here are some things about us that you might not know...

1.  When I was little I used to talk just like Burt in Mary Poppins, Milla talks like she is in High School Musical.

2.  My favourite colour is red, just like a holden racing car.  Milla used to pretend that she hated pink because it rhymes with stink but it is really her favourite colour.

3.  We both want to live in New York and we think that mum and dad would love to live there too.  We would be happy with having a huge holiday there or going to live somewhere else that there was snow.

4.  We are cyber kids - we both had email addresses before we were born!  (Now if only the grownups would give us some more computer time we would be set.)

5.  We invent our own words to songs - one of our favourites is 'I Protect a Carrot' by the Kaiser Chiefs, otherwise known as 'I Predict a Riot'.

6.  We love having people read books to us before bed.  One of our favourites is a collection of facts written by Dr Karl - he is so cool, I wish we could remember as much science as Dr Karl!

7.  When we aren't having adventures, mum and dad love playing lego or beados with us!

So there you have it, 7 facts about us.  They weren't very weird or random, but we are normal little kids who live their lives online so what do you expect?

Now who should I tag?

  1. Our Fairy God Mother Ellen
  2. Our cousins Henry and Owen
  3. Amelia, Zack and Chase
  4. Georgia (we miss reading about what your adventures)
  5. Anna and Tino in the UK
  6. Tanya in NZ
  7. Mari (we want to live in the US too)

Feel free to tag yourself - we are both sticky beaks and we would love to know 7 new and strange things about everyone we know!

Blood and Dirt

I love the holidays, I can spend all day running around in the park.  I can climb trees, play in the dirt and run around everywhere.  The best thing about it is that I can do it all with no shoes on.

Look - Tungamah Feet!

The only bad part is that sometimes when you cut your toes when you don't wear shoes.  There is blood mixed in the dirt on my feet and I dripped blood all the way home!

Luckily a bandaid fixed everything,

A Bad Example

We went to a grown-ups birthday party today.  It was great fun, but our dad sure is embarrassing.
He couldn't even sit on a chair and eat dessert.  Look what happened when he tried!

Man, I hope that when we are grown ups we aren't this embarrassing.

Around the World

This week we have been traveling all around the world in just first day.  We have visited London,Paris, Greece, Africa, Japan, Mexico and then came all the way back to Australia.  We didn't actually go anywhere except to Brightstars where we got to learn songs and dances from all different places.  It was great fun, and the best part was that we got to dress up again!

I have grown just a little bit since the last time I wore my Niki-no-no (that is Milla speak for kimono or yukata) so mum had to stay up late and make me a new one.
Do you like it?
I even wore my chopsticks in my hair, but the pic won't upload (I will try again another day)!

AJ didn't want to be left out, so mum made him a new happi coat so he could pretend he was going to go to a Japanese festival.  I think he was pretty happy, what do you think?

We had so much fun, I can't wait until Brightstars starts again,

Dragged to the Park

Mum and Sharn decided that they wanted to play with one of their friends today.  Can you believe that?  They dragged us to Queen's Park to play!

The kids played in the playground for a bit.

Then we all played soccer.

I guess it wasn't too bad hanging out with mum's friends!

Another Day in the Park

We decided to go and visit our friend Gabby and her baby brother today at their house and then we all went for a picnic at the park that is just up the road from their house.

This is where we had a picnic.
Can you believe that it is the same park that we visited for a tea party?

It is the same park that we played in during one of our playground finder adventures not long ago.  I wish mum and dad knew that Gabby just lived up the road for our first visit here.  Oh well, it was great to have someone else to play with again.

No Pay Rise

Well the tooth fairy did visit last night.  This is what she left for me in my glass instead of my tooth.  It looks like there was no pay rise just for 2009.

My next tooth is starting to get wobbly, I wonder if the pay rate goes up when I am 7?

Losing Another Tooth

After hanging loose all year, my 4th tooth finally fell out this morning.
I wonder how much money the tooth fairy will bring?  Normally I get $2, but that was last year, I wonder if the reward has increased?

We're Baaaaack!

Well after having an awesome time on holidays with nan and pop, we are back in Melbourne.  We are kind of tired after having so much fun and we really need a holiday to recover!  We were so busy there that we can't possibly tell you about everything we did, but here are a few highlights of our holiday.

We went to Mulwala with some of our cousins and saw Pirates water skiing on the lake and when the show was over there was some fire works.

I wonder if we will ever get to go skiing?

We went fishing in the lake.  Well actually AJ went fishing with his new fishing rod that he got from Nan and Pop for Christmas.  AJ didn't catch anything, but he said a fish had a nibble, I think that he imagined it!
I didn't fish, but I still had fun playing by the lake.

We went to Shepparton.  We didn't get to go to the movies this time, but we did get to see more cows.  We aren't really sure about the strange cows around here, but they were fun to play with!
Crazy Colourful Cows

We had a fantastic time on holidays and naturally Nan, Pop and Sharn love us so much that they always spoil us rotten, but it is nice to be back home again.

I wonder what we will do to recover from our holidays?

PS - I got cuddles from the snake too, look!

A Quick Hello

Hi Mum and Dad,

Just thought that I would leave you a quick note to say G'day and to let you know that we are having a great time on holidays.  Today we went to visit Jaxon and look at who had a play with us!
It was soooo cool cuddling a snake!

Anyway, I am kinda too busy to write any more now, but I will tell you all about my holiday when I get home.

I love you,
AJ Pickle (and Milla too)
