Tag, and Tag Again

I forgot to tell everyone yesterday that I had spread my germs far and wide and mum got Chicken Pox AGAIN too.  Well now I can add to that story and make it even better - Milli has got pox too.

Can you believe it, they have both got pox and get to stay home but I have to go to school?  Don't they know that I am the Chicken Pox expert and I should be at home with them?  I could help keep them distracted so they don't notice the itch.  I could change dvd's for them, I could get them drinks if they are thirsty.  I could even rub cream onto their pox to help them go away.  Do you think I get to stay home and help?  NO - I still have to go to school.

It wasn't fair having Chicken Pox in the holidays!

Sad News

When we woke up today, daddy told us something really sad.  He told us that his dad, our Granddad had died.
We love you Granddad Bernie,

Dralion Circus Stars

We had a special family outing today, we all went to the circus.  Not just any old circus but Cirque du Soleil.

Wow, it was the best circus ever.  There were clowns, acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, hoop divers, trampolinists, wonderful musicians and singers and the most amazing dancers I have ever seen, especially the dancers that didn't even dance on the ground.

They were all so wonderful that it has made me want to go back to circus classes.  Maybe if I practice my circus tricks and my dancing I could be in Dralion too.

It was an amazing show, you really should try to see it too.

Lest We Forget

At school this week we made wreaths to remember all of the brave people that died in the wars trying to make sure that Australia would always be a safe and wonderful place to live.

I watched some of the ANZAC parade and ceremony on the TV.   I even tried to stand quietly when they played the last post before the football.

There were a few people at our house for a barbeque and to watch the footy, I watched a bit then played wii for a bit.  I came back inside to watch the important part of the game, the end where the Bombers won and the Magpies didn't (sorry dad).

Thank you ANZACs and Essendon, it has been a great day,

Surprise Visitors

Guess who came to pick us up from school today?  Aunty Sharn, Nanny and Poppy.

Not only did they pick us up from school, but they played with us until mum and dad got back from work.  By then it was dinner time, so we all went out for a special dinner treat.  Of course we were all so excited to spend an afternoon together that we forgot to take any photos!

Thanks for the great surprise.

iSkoot

Now that I have my own speedy scooter, I can scoot around the park with the big kids.  The best part is that I can sing along as I scoot, it is fantastic.

I wish that I had thought to buy a scooter at the start of the holidays, there are only a few more days of scooting before I go back to school.

I love my new scooter.

Food, Glorious Food

We love picnics and we went to another picnic today.  Today's picnic was a little different, everyone who went there took something to share.  That wasn't the different part, the different part was that everyone took food from their culture or their families favourite food.  There were different foods from Somalia, Hungary, Nigeria, Vietnam, China as well as Australian food.
The food was all really delicious, but the best part was eating the gigantic wiggly worms made from apple that dad kept feeding me!

I've Got Mail

Look what arrived in the mail for me today...

I had saved all of my pocket money so that I could buy a real scooter to zoom around the park on.  I got Dad to help me do some research on the internet and now I am going to be the coolest kid in town - my scooter has a built in mp3 player and speakers in the handlebars so that I can sing and scoot at the same time.

I can't wait until I get time to go scooting with my friends.

27 Again

Someone we know DID NOT turn 27 today, in fact she is way older than 27, she is 34!

The girls, Milla and Poss made some delicious cupcakes and birthday cards as the boys Wii-ed.  When all of the hard work was done, we hid in the park and surprised mum.
One of mum's birthday cards.
Surprise!

Cake Time!

We all had dinner together, sang 'Happy Birthday' and ate heaps of delicious cupcakes.
Happy birthday Mum,

The Pox by Number

Face 76 Behind Right Ear 7
Tongue 1 Behind Left Ear 2
Back 133 In Right Ear 1
Legs 26 In Left Ear 6

So there it is, I am completely covered in the pox.  It looks pretty gruesome but it really isn't that bad.  I don't understand why people keep asking me if I am itchy?  Don't they know that Chicken Pox actually feel like "hundreds of little men tap dancing on you"?

Hopefully they will stop tap dancing all night long and I can get some sleep soon.

Damsel in Distress

Just because AJ has the pox, doesn't mean he is too tired, annoyed or itchy to be a real big brother.  Today he tied me to the umbrella post so that he could play Wii with Poppy without me tap dancing around and annoying them!

Just charming!

At least AJ still knows how to have fun!

Chocolate Goodies

Of course Nanny and Poppy and Aunty Sharn came to celebrate Easter with us and of course they gave us even more chocolates.

I finally found something good about having a broken arm!

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny visited us last night.  When we woke up this morning there was a chocolate rabbit on our beds.  Before mum and dad had time to come downstairs, we snuck downstairs. Look what we found when we got there!

mmm... Chocolate for breakfast - YUM!
There were Easter Eggs hidden everywhere.

I hope everyone else gets chocolate for breakfast too.

Pox

The other day when I was at Tiger's house for a sleep over, I found two bites on my arm, near my armpit  and another one where my plaster rubs near my thumb.  They didn't bother me, but they rubbed on my plaster so our mum's put some cream on them and covered them with a band aid.

They didn't hurt at all, so I forgot all about them.  Then yesterday at the second Easter Egg Hunt, I felt a little bit bleh, but I had enough energy to run around at the hunt.  I even had enough energy to invite another friend over for a sleep over and we had a great time staying up late watching movies with my friend.

By this afternoon, I felt pretty tired so I left my friend downstairs playing Wii and asked mum to come upstairs with me so I could have a rest.  Look at what she found...

some POX.  Can you believe that I have Chicken Pox - AGAIN!

I wonder what else I will get for the holidays, hopefully just heaps and heaps of chocolate from the Easter Bunny!

Another Hunt

Although we have already had an Easter Egg Hunt today, this afternoon we went down to Pirate Park to have ANOTHER Easter Egg Hunt.  This time it was an Egg Hunt for lots of kids who live in Kensington.  I think there may have been even more kids this year than there were last year.
I was a little worried that I wouldn't find many eggs.  I ran really fast and put all of the eggs that I found into my sling so I didn't have to keep running back to the basket to drop the eggs back.

I really shouldn't have worried about not finding any eggs, look at how many Easter Eggs we all found!

An Egg Hunt in Circle Park

Last night AJ went for a sleep over at his friend Tiger's house, so Tiger's big sister Poss came for another sleep over with me.  We had a great time together, but Poss couldn't stay at our house all day long because her family is going camping.

When her mum came to pick her up to go camping, she heard someone say that they saw the Easter Bunny in Circle Park hiding chocolate eggs.  We all ran over to the park to see if we could find any eggs.
We all found some eggs, even Dad who fell asleep on the grass and Paddy who can only just walk!

It was great finding Easter Eggs in our park, but soon we are heading to another Easter Egg hunt in Pirate Park.  I can't wait!

Taking a Bow

Every morning this week I have been going along to Bright Stars.  This program we are performing Jack and the Bean Stalk.  It is a really small class and a really really long script with heaps of different characters.  I have had lots and lots of lines to learn for all of the different characters that I play.

When the play starts I am the farm girl that plays with Jack before he sells his cow.  Then I am the dog on the farm and then when Jack goes to climb up to the top of the bean stalk I am part of the bean stalk.  Then I am the hen that lays a golden egg.  Can you believe that I actually have to lay an egg during the performance!

As well as learning all of my lines an working out costume changes for each character, I was also the narrator that told the story in between all of the acting, singing and dancing.  As you can imagine, it is pretty exhausting, but the show was great fun and everyone loved it!

Taking a bow!
Except for the Giant, this is the entire cast of Jack and the Bean Stalk!

Mum was too busy enjoying the show to take heaps of photos of just me.  I don't really know the other kids in the class, so I didn't think that I should put their photos all over the internet, so I edited the photo and used one of almost the entire class!  Maybe if poppy has a better photo, I will post it instead.

I really love acting, singing and dancing.
I wonder what we will perform next term at Bright Stars?

Run for the Kids

Well dad has done the Run for the Kids every year, mum missed the first year but has joined in for the other years and this year Jodi decided to join them for the Run for the Kids.  So bright and early this morning they all went into the city with Jodi to do the Run for the Kids again.

They decided that it would be fun, or perhaps crazy to run 14.1kms, through the Domain Tunnel, over the Bolte Bridge and then back through the city to the gardens.

Look at the crazy people before they ran.
Let me just say they didn't look so cheerful when they made it home!

I hope that they all run extra fast and make heaps of money for the Royal Children's Hospital - the hospital that screwed my arm back together.

Feeling Better

Well my best friend (Tiger) is out of plaster.  To celebrate he came over to visit and we played Wii.

Do you think that this is what the doctors meant when they said 'take it easy'?

Them's the Breaks

Well by now everyone knows that my best friend has a broken wrist and I have a broken elbow, but did you know that another on of our neighbours has a broken shoulder.

It has been pretty good having someone else who has to stay home from school too, but I think that she has had more fun making toys with mum for everyone we know who is about to have a baby with instead of watching movies with me.
I wonder if they will give me a toy to cuddle too?

Anyway, luckily she is really good neighbour and she likes sharing.  She has brought over some of her movies and she has even more movies than I do.

By the time my arm is better, I will have watched 3 bazillion movies!
