In the Garden

At school we are learning everything about what lives in a garden. Today we made our own inside garden to hang on a wall. Everyone made something different for the garden.

I made a ladybug to explore the garden.

I also made my rabbit Roger because he loves gardens too.

Joseph made a lemon tree and Marwa made a beautiful butterflies. Rudy, Minh, Tuan and Josh painted the background and Kaya made worms to keep the soil healthy. Everyone helped to make the grass.

Isn't our inside garden beautiful?

Back to Normal

I had a great holiday, but I really missed doing all of the things that I normally do. I love dancing and circus school is so much fun.

My favourite thing to do is swing on the trapeze.

Poppy's New Toy

Well we are back from our holiday and we are all really tired. Dad has had to go to Sydney for the week and mum is a little bit sick with a sore puku, so Nanny and Poppy have come to have a holiday with us.

When we were in New Zealand, Poppy bought a new toy.

I think that the real reason that Nan and Poppy came to visit was so Poppy could show me his new toy! I love Poppy's new car - I hope that one day I will have a new car just like this!

Fly Away

Today at circus, I practiced flying on the Tissu with mum and Macsie. It was heaps of fun. I hope that our flight to Auckland is as much fun as flying at circus!

PS - if I get time when we are in New Zealand, I will post more stories and adventures on our holiday blog - far away land

Time to Renew

My passport expires in 6 weeks and I will finally be able to get a passport with a photo that looks like me!

(when I get the scanner plugged back in, I will show you my funny passport photo!)

Anyway, we decided to squeeze in one more adventure before I renew it. We are going to New Zealand in one more sleep! I can't wait, I will get to climb a volcano, explore the beaches and play with friends that I haven't seen for almost 5 years!

Good night,

Mother's Day...Again

We love our mum so much, that we decided to have Mother's Day twice! (read all about our first Mother's Day here)

The last Mother's Day was fun, but today was even better. Nanny, Poppy, Aunty Sharn, Uncle Ad and Ellen all came for a visit. We all went out for lunch together and than had a play in the park.

It was a beautiful, relaxing day. I think that it is the first time that mum has had a day with all of her family together (well almost all - Aunty Melati was sick today) in ages. I think that made today even more special.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums,

Mothers Day (part 1)

After circus last weekend, Dad and I snuck away to so some secret shopping. Mum thought that we were playing football at a new park somewhere near circus school.

When we got home, we were all sitting in the study talking. The conversation went something like this...

Mum: AJ, what did you do after circus? (meaning What park did you go to, to play football?)
AJ: We went to IKEA.

Mum: Oh? That's not fair I wanted to get a few things from IKEA.
Dad: Where did we go AJ?
AJ: Oh...That's right...we played football.

Mum: (looking confused) You played football at IKEA?
AJ: (also looking confused) What did we do again Dad?

Dad: It's OK AJ, I'm no good at keeping a secret either. Anyway, I don't know where we are going to hide these things until tomorrow!

Mum: (looking even more confused) What's on tomorrow?
Dad: Well it is Mother's Day isn't it?

Mum: (still confused) I don't think so, I think that it is next week.
Dad: (looking sheepish) Well there is no way that we could keep a present hidden for a whole week!

Keeping secrets was hard work and I was happy to go back out to the car to get the presents that I had found for mum for Mother's Day!

We continued to make it a Mother's Day weekend, and went out for lunch on the Not-Mother's Day, instead of staying at home and making a mess.

Having Mother's Day every weekend is a great idea, I love going out for lunch!

Singing a Rainbow

It was the official opening of the school canteen today. There were lots of parents and important people (people that I don't know who are on TV sometimes) at the opening. There was even a magician entertaining everyone.

After all of the speeches, everyone had a free lunch together. It was a really healthy and delicious lunch, with lots of green foods and no red foods. (Green food is good and red food is food you should stop eating!)

After everyone had eaten, it was time for the first ever performance of the 2007 Kensington Primary School Junior Choir. The choir sang 3 songs, but I could only remember the words to 2 of the songs because sometimes I forget to go to choir practice.

It was so much fun performing with the choir, that I will have to remember to go to practice every week.

Another Walk in the Park

We took Rog to the park again this afternoon. Instead of going to Circle Park like we normally do, we decided to go to the Other Park. It was a bit far for Rog to walk all that way, so he went for a ride in his carrier instead.

After playing in the park, I was really tired and too exhausted to walk.

Unfortunately no matter how hard I tried, no one would carry me home!

Staying Late

I stayed at school late today. Instead of going home when the bell went, I went to After Care today to play soccer. It was heaps of fun. Heaps of my friends were there - Liam, Seamus, Kaya and Marcus.

This is me talking to Liam and Seamus, trying to work out who won the game!

It didn't matter who won, it was great fun AND I got a sticker!
I can't believe that I waited until the second term before I started Kelly Sports at After Care.
