Graduation

Today was my last day of Kinder - EVER!

To celebrate the end of kinder, we had a special day that parents were allowed to come along too.  I was really lucky, both mum and dad could sneak away from work to see our graduation.

First the entire class sang for our special guests.

Then we received our Kindergarten Diplomas.  This is me shaking hands with my teacher as I was given my diploma.

Kinder has been great fun, but I am really looking forward to school next year.

Walking in the Rain

It rained this morning.  Normally I don't mind when it rains because rain is really good and I don't want it to go away, I just wish it didn't rain this morning.  We had another kinder excursion today and we all had to walk there.  Luckily the walk to my brothers  school was pretty quick, but when we got to school we all looked like we had been swimming in our clothes!

Luckily it was nice and warm in the school.  I was in AJ's classroom, but AJ wasn't there - all the Grade One's had to go to sport instead.  

I had great fun building a gigantic tower that even the Grade One boys would have liked.

Then I drew a picture of my day at school.

I had great time at school.  I can't wait to go there next year when I am 5 and a 1/4.

Kinder Excursion

Mum finally helped out at kinder today.  All she really had to do is help us walk to school.  Yep, that's right, we went to Holy Rosary School to see what it is really like being a school kid.  

It was great fun.  First we did some drawing, then did some dancing before going out to the adventure playground for some more fun.  When we were all worn out from playing we went back inside for more colouring and singing.

It was great fun at school, I can't wait until I get to go to school every day.

I'm a big kid now!

Special People at Kinder

It is nearly Mother's Day, so we had a special day at kinder today to celebrate.  Everyone got to invite their mum to kinder for morning tea.   If your mum was working, you could invite your nan instead.  Well, mum wasn't actually working, but I invited nan to come along too.    We all had a great morning tea together.

I painted a special picture for mum.

Then I gave nan an extra special treat - a hand wash and massage.  

My kinder teacher Mai made her special hand scrub for us to use and all the mum's and nan's got to go home with silky soft skin and smelling beautiful.

It was a really fantastic day.  Thanks for coming to spend a special day with us nan.

PS - the special ingredients for the scrub are salt flakes, brown sugar, olive oil, lavender and lots of other delicious smelling oils.

Who Wants Cake?

Kinder is heaps of fun, especially now that the whole class is at kinder together.  It is even more fun when we have a birthday party. Zara and I were first in line to sing 'Happy Birthday' to Kalinda and of course to eat the delicious birthday cake too!

Orientation

I went to kinder for my orientation session today.  I really didn't want to go to kinder, I was a little bit nervous, especially when I found out Kalinda wasn't going to kinder today.  Once I got there and found my locker, it didn't take me long to work out that kinder was fun so I told mum she could go home.  

I was only there for an hour and a half and still I managed to do drawings, paintings, play outside, do some washing, have a snack, sing songs and listen to a story.  

I think that I will really like kinder, I can't wait until next week when I get to go to kinder twice.

2 More Sleeps!

I am almost ready to go to kinder, only 2 more sleeps.

Today Ellen gave me a new bag to take to kinder and mum gave me a lunch set.  

Everything had Cinnamoroll on it, even a little Cinnamoroll teddy on the zip.

Now that my bag is packed, I can't wait to go to kinder.

Science Experiments!

Look what I grew.

I didn't put my lunch box in the dishwasher after the kinder break-up party, instead I put it in the cupboard under the stairs. Look what I found when I opened my lunch box today! Mum said that growing mould is a fun science experiment. She said that we have other science experiments growing in the fridge!

No More Kinder

Did you know that I don't have to go to kinder any more? For our last day of kinder we made Christmas candle holders and decorations, and then we had a party. It was lots of fun.


It is school holidays now, and when the holidays are over, I will be 5 and I can go to school instead. I am glad my best kinder friends - Isabella and little Michael, will be going to school with me.

Transition

Do you know what transition means? I do!

tran·si·tion Passage from one form, state, style, or place to another.

I am learning all about transition because I am in transition, I am going to finish kinder soon and go to school next year.

I went to another transition day at Kensington Primary School today. This time mum and dad took me there. They talked to other mums and dads, as well as some teachers and even the principal. I was really excited that mum and dad were there, they got to meet my 'buddy' Alex.

Alex and I had so much fun learning together. After I went to a music class and did some more artwork, I went to order my school uniform. My uniform should arrive next week, so I will post some photos of how cool I look in my new uniform.
