Quiet Time

After a busy weekend, we decided to have some quiet time this afternoon.

This is how I filled in my afternoon...

Curls First

Today it was our dancing photo shoot day.  We had to get picked up from our holiday at Sharn's house earlyish this morning so that Milli could get her hair done - it took forever!

First she had to have her hair in curls for the first photo shoot.

Then she needed her curls to be put into buns for the second photo shoot.

My hair is cool however I do it, especially when I don't use a brush (ever).  It only took a few minutes for me to get ready!

It only took me a few seconds to get ready for my photos!

It was fun playing at the studio today, but it should be even more fun next weekend when it is showtime!

Preps in the Park

Mum and dad have been really busy this weekend, first they went to a wedding and then the next night they went to an engagement party and we had a holiday at Sharn's house.   We had heaps of fun with Sharn, going to a street festival, watching movies, making muffins and setting up the Christmas tree.  It was great.

We did sneak home for a few minutes, not to see mum and dad, but because we wanted to go to the park for the 'new preps picnic'.
Look at how crazy the parachute game made my hair!

I had a great time making new friends and playing fun games.  I hope that we get to have another prep picnic before I start school.

Hiding

It is really good that it is raining, it might help to fill up some of the dams and make the drought go away, but it makes it hard to play fun games outside.

It was raining when we came home from school today, but we still wanted to play outside.

We built a house to hide from the rain.  We were still getting wet because the decking was wet.  We didn't think that mm would mind using all of the towels to make a soft and dry floor for our house.  We used a few more towels for a roof and then we had a very comfortable house to rest in.

I will happily make cubby houses to stay out of the rain if the rain keeps my garden growing.

A Letter from my Buddy

I went back to school today and I wore my new school costume.
I looked so good in my school costume that everyone thought that I was a school kid and not just a kinder kid having another orientation!

My buddy was there again and she gave me a letter telling me all about what we will do when school starts.
My buddy and I went to art and then to music.  It was fantastic, making models with clay and singing new songs.  I can't wait until I get to go to school for real.

Photographic Proof

Do you remember that I complained about mum not taking ANY photos when I had my sleep over at Amelia's house?  Well mum organised a surprise for me - look at the photo that I was emailed today!

Do you know what is almost as good as having a sleep over with Amelia?  Knowing that Christmas is only one month away!

Run, Run, Run

HURUMPH!  Dad is away this weekend so I had to hang out with girls and do girlie things all day.  Luckily it was raining and I wouldn't have been allowed to play in the park all day, so being dragged to DFO really wasn't that bad, just don't tell mum, Sharn and Ellen!

By the time we finished doing all the girlie shopping stuff, it had stopped raining so we went to the Holland Park Alive festival.  It was fantastic.  There was a jumping castle in the hall and one in the pool (but I forgot my togs), footy players to have a kick with, friends from circus to teach us new tricks, music to dance to, heaps of friends to play with and a running race.

I went in the under 9's running race.  We had to run all the way around the KensingTAN, the new running track that goes all the way around the park.  The track goes for more than one kilometre!
This is me and everyone else running at the start of the race.

I am still running, almost at the finish line!

I didn't win, but I ran all the way and had heaps of fun.

Milli wasn't interested in running, or playing footy, she was happy climbing.

For a day where I spent most of my time with girls, it was kinda fun.
