All Grown Up
Today I am the dad and Milli is the mum.  It is role reversal day at circus, so the kids look like grown-ups and the grown-ups look like kids.

The craziest part is that if dad is the kid, then he has to do the circus class and I get to sit on the couch and pretend to watch as I read the paper!

This should be fun,

What a Pretty Mess

When we tried to sneak downstairs to watch cartoons this morning, but mum heard us.  She told us to make sure we wore slippers so we wouldn't cut our feet.  I didn't know what she was talking about, until I went to make my breakfast.
The whole glass wall behind the stove was shattered into a gazillion pieces!

Apparently it shattered during the night, and the noise woke dad.  It looks really pretty, but bits of glass keep falling off the wall.

I wonder how long it will take to fix it?

Lost # 2

Mum was nagging me this morning.  She wanted to take a photo of me wobbling my second loose tooth.  Well as I was practicing wobbling my tooth ready for the photo and all of a sudden it popped out.
When my first tooth fell out, it just fell out.  This tooth was wobbled out and I don't think that it was really ready.  It hurt a little bit and then it bled.  It was a little bit gross because there was blood in my mouth and it didn't taste very nice.

I hope the tooth fairy will visit me tonight,

Read the Signs

I might only be 4, but I can read some signs.
This is my favourite sign.

Everyone in Kensington has been sticking signs up everywhere to tell the world that digging up our park for a road tunnel is a silly idea, especially when it is a park that has great stuff in it like the Venny, the soccer pitch, footy ovals, the skate park and the bike track.

Why do we need a tunnel for cars, can't everyone just catch the train instead and then stop at the park on the way home for a play?

Early Mornings

Well normally we don't get out of bed before 7 in the morning, 8 if it is a weekend morning.  We couldn't sleep in this morning, we had to get up early to give Sarah and Ed a cuddle-kiss before they continue their adventures.

Goodbye Marah!

Goodbye Odd!

Have fun in Japan Sarah and Ed.  Hopefully we will get to visit you in the States sometime soon, or perhaps even in Mexico.

Strange People

Not only is today Mother's Day, it is our last real chance to party with Sarah and Ed before they go on more adventures.  We decided to follow an international theme again with our celebrations.  Last visit it was Thanksgiving this time it was Mexican and we celebrated Cinco de Mayo (the 5th of May - just a few days late).

Sarah isn't really sure what Cinco de Mayo celebrates, she says it is just a fantastic excuse to eat really yummy Mexican food and to drink some crazy drinks!

Look what Sarah and Ed had in their little drinks!

And they think that kids are gross but we just catch creepy crawlies, we don't drink them!

Mum's New Toy

Well today is Mother's Day and everyone always talks about making breakfast in bed for your mum for Mother's Day.  We thought about making breakfast in bed for our mum, but by the time we got out of bed (at the weekend appropriate time of 8 o'clock) mum wasn't even home - she had gone for a run with lots of other people!

By the time mum got home, it was way past breakfast time, so we gave mum a present instead.
It was just what we, oops... just what she always wanted - an ipod shuffle to take when she goes running.   We had to test it to make sure it worked properly!

Happy Mother's Day to our mum, and to all the mums we know.

More Visitors

Did I tell you that my friends Marah and Odd (Sarah and Ed) have come to have a holiday in Melbourne and they are staying with us?

Today, when everyone else was at work, mum and I took Marah to the zoo.  We had a great time and we got to see and do all sorts crazy things that we don't normally get to do at the zoo.

Naturally we checked out all the Aussie animals.
The platypus was too shy to come out, but we gave the statue a kiss anyway.

Then we sifted through giant insect poo to look for insect eggs!

And finally we gave the kangaroos a pat and a feed!

We had a great day at the zoo, I hope that I get to do other cool things with Marah before she goes traveling again.

Special People at Kinder

It is nearly Mother's Day, so we had a special day at kinder today to celebrate.  Everyone got to invite their mum to kinder for morning tea.   If your mum was working, you could invite your nan instead.  Well, mum wasn't actually working, but I invited nan to come along too.    We all had a great morning tea together.

I painted a special picture for mum.

Then I gave nan an extra special treat - a hand wash and massage.

My kinder teacher Mai made her special hand scrub for us to use and all the mum's and nan's got to go home with silky soft skin and smelling beautiful.

It was a really fantastic day.  Thanks for coming to spend a special day with us nan.

PS - the special ingredients for the scrub are salt flakes, brown sugar, olive oil, lavender and lots of other delicious smelling oils.
