Remembering

On our way back from the Children's Gardens, we found an amazing new place to explore - the Shrine of Remembrance.

The Shrine is an amazing building that was built by the people in Victoria a long time ago. They built it to remember all of the Australian and New Zealand people were hurt or killed during the war.

We learned heaps of things about the different wars that Australians have been in. We saw flags, uniforms and even saw some movies and photos. There were even models of different navy ships and fighter planes.
After we saw the light that shines through the hole in the roof to light up the word LOVE on a plaque and we explored the rest of the Shrine we donated some money and laid a poppy in the gardens to say 'thank you' to all of the people who have fought in the wars.

Love AJ and Milla
