To Believe It Or Not?

AJ and I have been talking and we have decided that we don't think that Easter Bunny, Santa or the Tooth Fairy are real.  There have been a lot of little clues that would suggest that it is really mum and dad and all the other grown-ups pretending that they are them.

Take the Santa charade for instance.  Why is it that Santa only knows what you want for Christmas if you write a letter to him and post it.  Oh and why do the letters that were 'posted' to Santa turn up stashed in the back of the bookcase?  Now we know that if Santa was really magical like everyone says he is, we wouldn't have to write down what we want in the first place, he would just know.  They say that he is magical enough to know who was naughty or nice so surely he would also remember what things we really wanted!  And why do kids who are naughty all the time, other kids not us, still get Christmas presents?

Also, why do we do a big toy clean-out every year before Christmas to donate toys to kids who might not get any presents.  If Santa really was real, he would give presents to everyone, especially the kids whose families weren't rich enough to buy them heaps of toys, right?  Surely the kids who don't have heaps of toys deserve more presents from Santa than kids that have heaps of stuff.

So there you have it, a few of the reasons why we don't think that Santa is real and if Santa isn't real then why would any of the others, the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy be real either?  The thing is, we might just keep pretending for a while longer because it sometimes pretending is fun, besides it is Easter soon and we really love chocolate.

Party Time!

It seems that mum isn’t the only one feeling guilty that I didn’t get to celebrate my 10th birthday with my whole family.  Nan and pop must have been feeling guilty too because I had a small party there with my Yarrawonga friends, then when I went home we had another cake day and of course more presents at our place on my actual birthday!

(if I can find any pics from pop I will put them here!)

Now that mum is back from India, I get to have a birthday party with my friends too.  We headed down to Adventure Park in Geelong

I think that a water park is the best place to hang out with friends for a birthday!

Oh and of course there was more cake.

Now that I have finished ALL my birthday celebrations, I must officially be ten!
