Kids of Social Mums Say...

Every now and then mum will go off and meet up with some other bloggy folk and have a great time.  She will come home talking about all the cool people she met and the fun things that she got to do.  Well finally mum let us come along to a bloggy day - we went to Social Mums Say at Fed Square.

I overheard mum tell dad that if we thought it was lame that we could go hang out in the park and she would have fun with Milla.  Well I am happy to say that I had a great time and didn't want to escape at all, I could have stayed even longer!

The highlight of the day for me was hanging out and using all of the Micador products.  I decorated a folder that will look awesome in my new bedroom.  Who knew you could have so much fun with a folder and some washi tape!

Once I finished decorating my folder, it was time to try out the Clouds Modelling Foam.  I loved playing with the foam but because so many kids had played with it all morning, the colours were all mixed up.  I fixed that - I started to sort it out into colours so that the other kids could play with it properly.

OCD much?

Even Milla liked playing with the Cloud Foam and sorting it into proper colours!

It seems OCD may just be contagious!

Missing in Action

Hmmmmm, it seems we haven't been here in ages but there is a really good reason for that - mum has been pretty sick.  When mum is sick, we don't have anyone to remind us to blog our adventures so that we don't forget them.  We have had some adventures that we will eventually get around to writing about.  Things we still haven't shared are our new bedrooms, there is also stories about learning how to use power tools, as well as climbing into the ceiling and all manner of fun things.

Of course there are about a billion more entries we could write about the Festival of Boo (that would be Milla's many birthday celebrations) and also our day at the races.   AJ is even going to write a review about a game that he was sent - Skylanders Giants that he loved so much he finished.  (Of course if the review for the game is anything like his book reviews that he has to do for homework then we will have to nag him about a billion times to get it done! - from Milla)  We are pretty sure that we never got around to blogging about Billy's birthday celebrations.  We can't even remember the last time any of us played along with Unknown Mami and Sundays in my City but it was probably forever ago too.

Now mum doesn't normally get sick, so this is a pretty crazy time for all of us.  She seems to help us out in the morning before school, then if she doesn't have doctors appointments or tests she sleeps most of the school day.  She hangs out with us after school and goes to bed when we do.   That's of course if she isn't in hospital.  If she is in hospital then we go and visit her instead!   Dad is pretty busy too, doing the laundry and the shopping, even making our lunch for us some days.  When we are all home together of a weekend, we go on mini adventures whenever we can.

Hopefully mum will be better soon so we can go on crazy adventures again rather than stay around the house, then we will be able to blog our stories and share our fun.

Our Mama Went to DPCON12...

Our Mama went to the Digital Parents Conference (or DPCON12 for those who know!) and all we got was...

Well there were about a billion other things in the swag that we haven't even had a chance to look at but these were our instant favourites.  We can't wait to log on to Club Penguin again and actually have a real membership to try out, perfect timing for the holidays.  We may just need to hide all of the cleaning products in case mum wants us to try them out too!

Sometimes it is really great that mama goes to all kinds of crazy and interesting places!  I wonder when she will go to another blogging shindig and bring home all kinds of loot for us spend time with all of her lovely bloggy friends?  It is even better when she brings home delicious, or should we say di-licious treats!

So it has taken a lot of hard work, but we are finally up to date with our blog.  It wasn't until we began to write things down that we realised just how busy we had been, which we guess is the reason why we weren't able to keep up-to-date!

OOPS!

Sorry we have been away from blogging for ages.  It isn't that we have been away, we have just been super busy.  We have been posting in the background but no publishing yet so that we can keep things in order.  We have been waiting to try and find the SD card with all the photos from Milli's birthday party so we can blog about her dance party.  

We still haven't found the photos but we just couldn't wait so we have decided to publish about everything else anyway.  If we ever find the photos, or get photos from other people to use instead, we will add them in and let you know.

Catch Up Time!

Well here we were thinking that when mum got her new toy we wouldn't have to deal with the 'thermal events' of the old computer. The only thing we didn't realise is that even thought the Mac is a really pretty computer that does heaps of cool stuff - it won't let us blog properly. We can't even upload photos (and what is the point of a blog if you can't see all the cute photos of us?).

So now as well as publishing all of the posts from when we were off-line, trying to stay up-to-date, we have to see if we can convert the blog to another hosting site. Does anyone know a host site that is as easy to use as Blogger that is Mac Compatible? If we can't convert the host site, we will try to keep up to date by juggling computers - the 'thermal event' machine, mum's Mac and dad's Dell.
