School photo day

So it had been a few days since the Color Run and still my hair is far from its natural colour. I'm not complaining, it means that I will be the most colourful kid for school photos today.

Check out the funky do I rocked for my photos!

I wonder if I will get away with having hair this cool and colourful forever?

The Day before the Big Day

In one more sleep Marah and Edrick get married (again) and we get to have a gigantic party.  That means that today we have to make sure everything is ready for the big day.  I had the job of being the official helper-outer-er and photographer.  There were flowers to be arranged... food to be prepared... words of wisdom to be written... and hair to be cut.  Busy, busy, busy!

I can't wait until tomorrow.  I think that I am almost as excited as Marah and Edrick!

Faded Red

What happens when you mix red hair paste with blonde hair and wait a day?
Why it turns pink of course!
Luckily pink hair matches with the clothes I am wearing to a birthday party.

Book Week Beauty

I love dressing up, I love dressing up for school even more. Today we were celebrating Book Week and were allowed to go to school dressed as our favourite book character. Now I have so many favourite book characters that I really couldn't decide who to be. Instead of spending days going through my favourite books I decided to go through my favourite costumes instead.

The short list was either a piggy costume, an Anastasia costume or Ariel the mermaid. Now I love all of my costumes and it was going to be a really difficult decision, that is until I realised that Ariel has red hair and mum has red hair paste that I might be able to use. Once mum said I was allowed to have red hair for the day, the decision was made - I would be Ariel.
Do you like how I look with red hair?

Wet Hair

I really don't like going to bed with wet hair, it gets all knotty and messy and it takes forever to get untangled in the morning. So that I don't have to go to bed with messy wet hair, nanny gave me this towel turban last time we went to visit her.
It is great, I can get all the knots combed out of my hair then put my turban on and my hair dries really quickly.

Butchered

We went for a walk this morning.  We thought we would just go park hopping and grab some lunch but guess where we ended up?  At the hairdressers, or as I say the HAIR DESTROYERS!

This is how great my hair was to start.

It was kinda long so I thought I would get it trimmed.  I asked for short back and sides, just to keep nanny happy but I asked for the top to still be long.  I even pointed to where the top should be cut to (just so I can see, but still down to my eyes).  Well the hairdresser really didn't listen she cut the front so short.
It is horrible, I can't wait until my hair grows long again.

I am only smiling because I wasn't the only one who had their hair butchered - Milla and Will had their hair cut too and their hair was much shorter than they expected.  We can all suffer short hair together.

Hair Everywhere

Well for a long time now Nanny has been asking me when I was going to get my hair cut.  I kept telling her that my hair really wasn't that long and I was growing it even longer.  Well today mum finally convinced me that it was time to get my hair cut, you see I was walking on the stone ledge outside school and I crashed into a branch that was hanging down from one of the trees because I didn't see it - my hair was in the way!  I really didn't want to get my hair cut but I didn't want to crash into any more trees either.
Can you believe that mum actually took photos of me getting my hair cut - she can be so embarrassing sometimes!  Luckily when my hair was all cut mum decided to be super nice to me and we went and got a hot chocolate to celebrate my new do.
So after all my complaining about getting my hair cut, I think it looks pretty good.  The best part is, I can see properly now!

Crazy Hair
The circus themes this term are fantastic.
Today it was crazy hair day.

Now that I have long hair, I can't do jelly hair (short and spiky), so I insisted on having nanny hair (that means parted to the side, slicked down and tucked behind my ears) with some spiky bits at the back.  I didn't want any piggie tails - they are for girls.

I was really happy with the finished product!

Milla wanted braids and twists but couldn't decide if she wanted to be a unicorn or a poodle!

All together, I think we make a crazy hair family!

Do you think mum should give up her day job and become a hairdresser?

two AND Three

I have been wondering for a while now, why does AJ get his hair cut all of the time and I have only had one haircut - EVER? Yesterday I decided that it was time for my second haircut, so I got AJ to cut my hair for me. I can't see what he cut, but there was heaps of hair for me to use making puppets!

This morning, I decided it was time for my third haircut. AJ helped me again. Now I have a really pretty fringe and layers.

Mum and dad told me that if I get AJ to cut my hair anymore, it won't be long enough to have Shino give me a proper haircut for my birthday.

I guess I can wait one more month...
