Santa for a Day

If you see any (wanna be) Santas wandering around the city today, you should stop and say hi to them. One of them might even be my dad.
Santa for a Dad
See dad wore a Santa suit to work today for Santa for a Day, to raise money for Transplant Australia.

We all think it is really important to talk about about organ transplant with your family and friends. We know it is a pretty scary topic and that no one really wants to talk about what might happen after you die but we think that if we aren't able to use something any more then someone who needs it more should be given that opportunity.  It is kind of like cleaning out your toy box and finding all of the toys that you don't need any more and donating them to someone who needs them.  It is better that they are used than sitting in a box, until they are no good to anyone.

So there you go, organ donation is just like cleaning out your toys, make sure that they go to a good home when you can't use them any more, someone will love them just as much as you!

PS - oops we forgot to press publish on this post so we have slipped it in where it should be!

Such a Girl!

What do you do when you want to put on some makeup but don't want to go upstairs to get your makeup? Why you improvise of course.
I used some pollen from the flowers instead!

Do you want me to do your 'makeup' too?

A Wicked Halloween

We had a Halloween party in the park this afternoon. I dressed up as my favourite witch in the entire world. Do you know who I am?

I am Elphaba of course.

I hope that you had a great Halloween too.

Old People are Funny

Did you know that when people get old they start to do crazy things. You see, it was our neighbour's birthday yesterday so to celebrate they (the grown ups and not the kids) all went out to a huge party in the city. They all dressed up as someone else and went out together.

Dad was dressed up as some guy who plays old people music. (Angus Young from ACDC)

Mum was dressed up as Paula (as Candi, All American Goddess)

Paula was dressed up as Cher

and the birthday boy started off as the Construction Guy from some olden days band but instead of staying in that costume he got changed twice,
first as a girl from ABBA (in a strange costume mum made)

and then as a flight attendant.

I have seen heaps of photos from the party and I really wish that I could have gone along, it looks like it was heaps of fun and I love wearing dress ups too!

Book Week Beauty

I love dressing up, I love dressing up for school even more. Today we were celebrating Book Week and were allowed to go to school dressed as our favourite book character. Now I have so many favourite book characters that I really couldn't decide who to be. Instead of spending days going through my favourite books I decided to go through my favourite costumes instead.

The short list was either a piggy costume, an Anastasia costume or Ariel the mermaid. Now I love all of my costumes and it was going to be a really difficult decision, that is until I realised that Ariel has red hair and mum has red hair paste that I might be able to use. Once mum said I was allowed to have red hair for the day, the decision was made - I would be Ariel.
Do you like how I look with red hair?

Dressing Up, Again...

To celebrate book week we had our school performance 'Book Safari' on Wednesday and today we had a dress up day at school. The theme for the dress up day was book characters. Now I really wasn't in the mood for dressing up, in fact I was more than happy to just wear my school clothes but for some reason mum and Milla thought it was a big deal and that I had to dress up. I really couldn't be bothered, but it was easier to put on real clothes than to argue. Of course once I got dressed, then we had to work out what character I was. Can you guess?

OK, I know you are going to be forever trying to work out my awesome book character so I will give you some clues. I am in books, but I am on a tv show more. I am a character in my favourite cartoon. I have collector cards with all of your friends on them. Do you know who I am or do you give up?

I knew you would never guess - I am Ash from Pokemon, can't you see my pokeball?

Boo and Miss Moo

Sometimes I can't find anyone to play dress ups with me so I have to start being creative.  Luckily I am very creative and my toys like to dress up too.

Today Miss Moo and I decided to go out for a shopping adventure.  It was a special day so Miss Moo wore my favourite flowery dress and my red shoes.  She looked so lovely I even let her wear my beads.  Then we grabbed our handbags and it was time to go shopping.
Thanks for a great adventure Miss Moo,

Fairy in Training

After a long and quiet day home from school we had friends come over to play.  We like to play dress-ups and one of our favourite dress-up games is Fairies.  Today we had a new fairy come and play with us.
Paddy is just learning how to be a fairy, but he is doing a great job.

Of course with us as his Fairy Teachers, he will be a perfect fairy in no time!

Around the World

This week we have been traveling all around the world in just first day.  We have visited London,Paris, Greece, Africa, Japan, Mexico and then came all the way back to Australia.  We didn't actually go anywhere except to Brightstars where we got to learn songs and dances from all different places.  It was great fun, and the best part was that we got to dress up again!

I have grown just a little bit since the last time I wore my Niki-no-no (that is Milla speak for kimono or yukata) so mum had to stay up late and make me a new one.
Do you like it?
I even wore my chopsticks in my hair, but the pic won't upload (I will try again another day)!

AJ didn't want to be left out, so mum made him a new happi coat so he could pretend he was going to go to a Japanese festival.  I think he was pretty happy, what do you think?

We had so much fun, I can't wait until Brightstars starts again,
