Highlight of the day

So of all the cool things we did in Cleveland, do you know what my favourite part of the day was?  It was when we wandered through the gardens on the way to the waterfront.  Now we have walked through about a billion gardens in our time but this one was extra good - it was an edible garden!
Milla wandered through the garden too
I really wanted to eat a carrot but they weren't big enough to pick.  Instead I picked myself a radish.
Love at first bite?
I have never eaten a radish before.  I am not too sure I actually like eating radish but I loved being able to pick and eat my own food!

Rainy Day Fun

Even though we woke up to heaps and heaps of rain and lots of wind, nan and pop decided to come for a drive and visit us in Nagambie. Now Nagambie is a great place to visit but all of the things that we wanted to do were outside and outside was really really wet. We couldn't spend all day just sitting in a cafe watching it rain so instead we went to Shepparton, at least if it was still raining we could find something to do.

Of course it was still raining when we got to the Shepparton. We wanted to go to the market but it was cancelled, instead we went 10 pin bowling.
Bowling was fun, but not as fun as what we did next - we went exploring in a maze!

The maze was huge and we got really really lost, it was great! When we eventually made our way out of the maze, back at the start and not the end, we decided to explore the garden centre. There was a bush walk that we wandered along with lots of statues to meet. It was such a fun place to visit. We even managed to convince dad to buy us a new succulent plant each.
Of course like all great days, adventuring makes us hungry. Nanny and poppy treated us to a special lunch AND dessert that was so good I had to lick the bowl clean!
Thanks for a great day nan and pop!

Can you believe that just by googling things to do in Shepparton we found out about this really cool maze? I sure am glad that mum and dad can google from their phones!

Cutting School

Mum let me wag school for a few hours today to go to a casting call (someone, somewhere thought I was spunky enough to take photos of, but then I found out that I was too tall).  By the time I finished at the casting call, it was nearly the end of the day.  Instead of going straight home, we decided to go to the Botanical Gardens to relax and wait for dad to finish work.

Milla and I had a great time running around and exploring the gardens.

The most fun was when dad came to play too.

I love playing in the Botanical Gardens.

Fresh Produce

Finally, there is food in my balcony garden that is ready for us to pick - yummy tomatoes.
Macs gave me a tomato plant for my birthday in October and it has taken them 6 months to grow and ripen.
I hope that they taste delicious.

A Nature Walk

After we visited the Shrine, we took nanny and poppy for a walk through the gardens to collect treasures.
First I found a pineapple cone and then I found some coconuts.

Dad told me that they weren't really coconuts though, they were really numb nuts.  I found lots of numb nuts as I walked through the gardens.  Mum didn't really want me bringing my numb nuts home, so AJ and I threw them around instead.

I couldn't bring my pineapple home either, but I did have fun finding treasures in the garden.

Chasing Time
I had more birthday celebrations again today.

Nan and pop came to visit and we all went in to the city to explore the gardens.  We caught the tram to the Shrine and then we walked back in to the city, showing nan and pop all the interesting things along the way.  There were amazing trees to climb, statues to explore, treasures to find, fence railings to balance on and bands to listen to.
My favourite part of the day was chasing time around the flower clock.

Do you think if I chase the time backwards, I can go back and have another birthday?

Stop and Smell the Flowers

I went into the city this afternoon to see nanny and poppy.  We all went to southbank for dinner and then to Birrarung Mar for a play before nan, pop, mum and Sharn went to the theatre.
We had a busy afternoon, but I still had time to stop and smell the flowers with poppy.

Spring Flowers

It was spring day at circus today. I decided that I would go dressed as my favourite plant - Bouganvillea.
We all went for an early morning walk across the park to pick some bouganvillea and AJ helped to put it in my hair.

Don't I look beautiful?

Hip Hip Hooray, I am 4 Today

When I woke up this morning, I waited in my bed very quietly until the clock said seven o'clock. AJ and Marcus were still asleep so I snuck downstairs as quietly as I could.

I didn't stay quiet for very long - about half way down the top stairs, I saw beautiful colours on the glass door to the balcony. As I was looking at the beautiful decorations on the window, mum and dad told me that I could go outside, on to the balcony to find my birthday present.

I went outside and found a beautiful garden all for me. In my garden I have a rose, some dasies, petunias and verbenas. My boyfriend Macs gave me a tomato and Ella and Taylah gave me a strawberry that will grow flowers and strawberries. All I need now for my garden to be perfect is to have a Bird of Paradise, capsicum and some rosemary.

I am so lucky, I think that I am the only 4 year old to have their own garden.

Spring is Here!

Hooray, Spring is here.

Today I walked all the way home from Footscray Park with mum. We had a great time enjoying the sunshine and looking at all of the flowers that have started to bloom.

The trees are waking up from their winter sleep and are growing lovely new leaves.

The flowers are starting to grow again.

It is sunny and almost warm.
The best thing is, I can wear my favourite rose skirt without getting too cold!

Hooray for Spring.
