Orientation
I went to kinder for my orientation session today.  I really didn't want to go to kinder, I was a little bit nervous, especially when I found out Kalinda wasn't going to kinder today.  Once I got there and found my locker, it didn't take me long to work out that kinder was fun so I told mum she could go home.
I was only there for an hour and a half and still I managed to do drawings, paintings, play outside, do some washing, have a snack, sing songs and listen to a story.
I think that I will really like kinder, I can't wait until next week when I get to go to kinder twice.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday AND the first day of school.

As soon as I woke up I had presents to unwrap.  What do you think that I got?  More Lego and Bionicles of course!  Then it was time for breakfast, I chose what we were having - croissants, my favourite.

I didn't really have much time to play with my new Lego before it was time to get dressed and go back to school, but I did manage to make a Bionicle to smuggle to school with me.  It was pretty exciting seeing all of my friends again and to find out who was in my class.  I am in prep/1 with Chris and Andrea as my teachers (yep that's right - I have 2 teachers in my class).

It is the coolest class, there are 17 grade 1 boys and 15 preps that will start tomorrow.  Our classroom is gigantic and it is downstairs, so it is closer to the playground than my old classroom.  I know that it is going to be a great year.

At the end of the day, mum and Milla came to visit me in the classroom.  It was too hot for cake, so we all shared icecreams and everyone sang happy birthday to me.

After school I went to Circle Park to play with Chris, Liam, Ethan and Isabella.  Musa, Mohamed, Amara and Soley were there too and we all had fun playing together and eating fruit and Lego cake.  It wasn't really a party, but I still managed to get lots of presents.  Even Sharni and Ellen came to  play (and to give me more presents).

Eventually it was time to go home for dinner.  I got to choose what we had for dinner, so we all had maggots, chips and fake fish.  It was delicious.

I wish I didn't have to wait a whole year to have another birthday.

Hardly Normal

After a busy weekend destroying the backyard, what better way to relax than with a massage.

If you are like us and pretend that you can't see the sign that says "Do NOT use the massage chairs without staff assistance", you can have everyone else who comes through the store laughing lots.

What the Heck!
We went upstairs for only a few minutes, when we came downstairs look what we found...
I hope that mum and dad can find someone to fix the backyard some time soon.

2 More Sleeps!
I am almost ready to go to kinder, only 2 more sleeps.

Today Ellen gave me a new bag to take to kinder and mum gave me a lunch set.
Everything had Cinnamoroll on it, even a little Cinnamoroll teddy on the zip.
Now that my bag is packed, I can't wait to go to kinder.

Who Is Owen?
Well I don't know if I told everyone that I have a new cousin.  His name is Owen and he is Henry's little brother.

We met him today at Queens Park.  He didn't do much, just sleep.  Aunty Melly told us that we would never get a photo of him with his eyes open - she was right.

Even if he didn't open his eyes, he was pretty cute.  I am sure that next time we see him he will open his eyes for me, he will probably even smile to see me again.

Australia Day at the Zoo

Andrey is having a holiday at our house and today we took him to see who is new at the zoo. It was a hot day, so we spent a lot of time in the reptile house to cool down. When we were in there, we saw new reptiles that we don't often see;

A 1 week old frilled neck lizard

A 2 week old tortoise

And a really cool Rhinoceros Chameleon

Of course we let Andrey visit all the Australian animals too!

A Crusty Demon in the Dirt

I love riding my bike, today I went to the bmx track.

It was much harder riding on the dirt track, but heaps more fun.  It didn't matter that I crashed a few times and scraped my knees, ankles and hands - there was no blood.

It might take me a while, but I think that maybe one day I could be a trick rider on a bmx or on a motor bike!

Not Babies Anymore...

I went to Tia's park today to sing Happy Birthday to Kathy and Sarah.  As well as eating all the party food and cake, I played with old 'baby group' friends again.

Now that we are big kids, who knows when we will all catch up again, everyone is going to different schools now!  I guess we will have to wait till the school holidays to all play together.

Bad Bananas
Our friend Tanya is from Auckland (that is in New Zealand) and she is having a holiday with us. She really likes us, so she gave us some chocolates from New Zealand.  The Pinky bars were yummy - pink marshmallow with chocolate on the outside.
I really didn't like the Perky Nanas - pretend banana chewy yellow stuff with chocolate , they were more like 'Pukey Nanas'.
AJ though that they were all pretty nice to eat.
He had so many that the chocolate melted all over him!
Thanks for the chocolate Tanya,

Who is Who at the Zoo
Everyone we knew went to the zoo today...

Amelia came to the zoo with us and while we were there we saw heaps of our friends - Mackenzie, Lachlan, Ethan, Tahlia and Xavier.

Zoe came to the zoo too.  She was there with her family to celebrate her 6th birthday.   The two Nanna's came to visit her - Nanna Pat and Nanna Bette, as well as Dylan and Danielle.
We even saw our old nanny Deb.  Everyone had such a great time visiting all of the animals and playing in the park.

My Wheels
Today I decided that I didn't need training wheels on my bike.

First I had to take the training wheels off my bike.

Then I had to take my bike to the park.

Finally I rode my bike all by myself!

I love riding my bike,

PS - as soon as the video is ready on youtube, I will post it here!

Here it is, me on my speedy wheels!

Cats and Dogs
I just don't understand it, when Alicia lived in Yarrawonga, she was the boss of the entire house.   She had nan and pop to feed and pat her, Joshua the cat to bully out of the house and BJ the dog to beat up.  Alicia wasn't afraid of anything.

Now that she has settled into life in Melbourne, I decided that it was time for Alicia to meet the neighbours.  Wayne and Kobe were downstairs, so I brought her downstairs to meet them.

Apparently 'Brave Yarrawonga' Alicia is 'Afraid-of-Dogs in Melbourne' Alicia.  In her hurry to get away from Kobe Alicia dug huge holes in my stomach.

Now I have a giant bandaid covering my giants scratches.

One More Night
Well Danielle is only staying for one more night so we decided to do as many fun things today as we could.  We woke Danielle up really, really early - 8 o'clock is really early for a teenager, and started our adventures straight away.

It was a hot day, so we went straight to the beach.  We were there before 9 and had a swim and a play.
It got hotter AND really windy, so we went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks movie.  We had some spare time before the movie started so we went shopping.

After laughing, singing and dancing all the way through the movie we decided it was time for some culture.  We took Danielle to the museum for a play and explore (and to meet Amelia).
I had heaps of fun showing Danielle some of my favourite places.  I hope that she comes back and has a holiday with us again.

Stop and Smell the Flowers

I went into the city this afternoon to see nanny and poppy.  We all went to southbank for dinner and then to Birrarung Mar for a play before nan, pop, mum and Sharn went to the theatre.
We had a busy afternoon, but I still had time to stop and smell the flowers with poppy.

Who is Looking After Me?
Mum and dad are both at work today and I was almost a little worried that we were being left home alone.  It really wouldn't matter, we know how to make our own sandwiches, cereal and fruit salad, what more do we need to know?

I didn't have to worry though, Danielle is staying at our house for a holiday and one of our other big kid friends, Emma, is coming over to stay too.

When mum got home from work, we went for a walk along the Maribyrnong River.

We walked all the way to Footscray Park and even stopped to look at the ducks swimmng in the ponds in the botanical gardens.

We all had a lovely time.   I wonder what other fun I can have with two big girls to play with?
