Performance Anxiety?

Today was our dancing mid-year performance. It was my first ever dance performance and I was a little bit scared. My group was dancing first.

We did the first dance and everybody clapped. They were clapping for all of the girls, not just me. I decided not to do the second dance with the rest of the class - I wanted to do the dancing all by myself, so that all the clapping would be for me!

I love dancing and I love people watching me dance, taking photos of me and cheering. Maybe if I practice my steps, I can do a solo in the end of year concert and then all the clapping will be just for me.

AJ has danced for a big audience before, so he wasn't afraid. After his performance, he even went in the dance competitions. He didn't win, but he did make the final - that means he was one of the best dancers there!

AJ and my big-girl friend Chloe convinced me dance with them in the final dance - the Bear Hunt. It was great fun, perhaps sharing the applause isn't so bad after all.

Playing Footy

Finally, after begging every day, Dad finally took me to Auskick.

First we start off doing some warm ups and go for a jog. Then we do some ball skills and practice tackling and falling down safely and finally it is time to play a game. I play in the back line most of the time. I am pretty good at stopping the ball from going between the goal posts.

It is so much fun and heaps of my friends go to Auskick too.

I think dad was so glad that I wanted to play footy that he took me to get my very own footy jumper. I don't think he was really happy when I chose a Bombers jumper instead of a Magpies jumper though!

Poppy's Chocolate

Poppy and Nanny came back to visit us tonight. Do you know what that means? Well of course it means lots of cuddles and being spoilt rotten, but more importantly...

Poppy let us eat his extra special Easter Car!

Yum, I love chocolate, especially if it is Skaifey chocolate.

Oh No!
Well we have been far too busy to keep our blog up-to-date. Instead we planned to fill in the gaps during the week. Just when we were ready to start telling all about our adventures, the computer turned itself off and left us a message saying something like, "the computer shutdown due to a thermal event", and wouldn't turn back on.

What is a thermal event? It sounds like it should be something volcanic but there was no lava around. The computer wasn't even hot and nothing smelled like it was burning so we couldn't work out what the thermal event was, all we knew is that the computer wouldn't work!

Well you can imagine the panic in the house. Mum was nearly hysterical - "S**T, I haven't copied my files and photos to the external hard drive!" and dad was annoyed that the computer crashed just when he was planning a quiet night of poker.

Milli and I went to bed and mum and dad spent the night painstakingly copying files to the external drive. Hopefully the important files have been saved but we can't use the internet unless dad brings his computer home from work.

Anyway, it isn't likely that we will have access to the internet all of the time, so we will have to write down our adventures, take heaps of photos and update the blog eventually.
Here are some of the stories we still have to tell you about,
  • new neighbours
  • a review of Milla the TV star
  • Student of the Week
  • Bungee
  • Wonderful Magical Creatures
  • Mid Year Performances
  • and heaps more

Hopefully it won't be too long before we are living in the cyber world again,

Student of the Week

At assembly today I was given a Student of the Week Award. My entire class nominated me for being a 'kind, helpful, funny and friendly classmate'.

I am so proud.

Bungee

It was cold and wet today, so we had to use our imagination to pretend that we were playing outside and having fun. At circus, I pretended that I was a beach kid, playing on the beach. Mum was a footy chick, so it didn't really matter that it was raining.

As a part of the outdoor fun day at circus, we did bungee tricks and pretended that we were outside. I sat on a bungee swing while mum and Jen bounced me up into the clouds. It was so much fun. I bounced so high, that I was flying through the clouds.

I loved the bungee ( I think that mum did too).

Watch the Telly

I give everyone permission to watch TV tonight. It is a special occasion - I am going to be on TV!

Make sure that you all watch Stateline on the ABC at 7.30 tonight to see me at circus, and then let me know if you think I have a future on TV and in the movies.

OOPS

Look what Poppy left at our house!

It is the giant HSV easter car that we gave him.

Do you think that we should eat it for him? Perhaps we should wait until Poppy comes back to visit in 2 weeks.

Titan Tracker

It was robot day at circus today. I was the coolest robot there, I went as a Lego Titan Tracker.

During all of the exercises we pretended to be robots.

It was really hard to be a robot when you are standing on top of a giant ball!

Hmmm, I seem to be having trouble uploading the video, but eventually I will post it here!

Sebastian

I met my newest cousin today. His name is Sebastian and he is only 3 days old.

Sebastian is very little, smaller than some of Milla's dolls. He is a little bit sick, so he is going to stay in hospital for a while. When he is bigger and feeling better, I will be able to play real games with him and teach him lots of cool things.

Love AJ Pickle, the biggest cousin.
